GUG Review: The Other Side of Gary Graver

One of 2021’s more curious new releases is a small bluray box set from a Canadian company that releases forgotten public domain films with new commentary tracks and special features.

The Other Side of Gary Graver caught the eyes of many Orson Welles fans for its topical pitch. It was the first time many of the films of Gary Graver were being released on home video.

Graver is most well known today as being Welles’s late in life cinematographer. He shot movies like Other Side of the Wind and F for Fake.

Alas, as we shall soon discover through this box set there is a reason Gary Graver never became a larger name in filmmaking…
